Terms and Conditions for PictureTheWinCompetitions Ltd

Last Updated: October 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before entering any prize draws on our website. By registering an account or participating in any competition, you legally agree to be bound by these rules.

1. The Promoter

The promoter of these prize draws is PictureTheWinCompetitions Ltd (referred to as "the Promoter", "we", "us", or "our").

  • Company Registration Number: 17513885
  • Registered Office Address: 27 Southway, Camberley, Surrey, GU15 3EA
  • Official Website: www.picturethewincompetitions.co.uk

2. Eligibility

2.1. The competitions are open strictly to residents of Great Britain (England, Scotland, and Wales) who are aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.

2.2. The competitions are explicitly not open to residents of Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, or any territory outside of Great Britain.

2.3. Employees, directors, or immediate family members of PictureTheWinCompetitions Ltd, or anyone professionally connected with the administration of these draws, are legally barred from entering.

2.4. By entering a competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter reserves the right to demand proof of age and identity before awarding any prizes.

3. The Competitions and Legal Compliance

3.1. All competitions hosted on the website are operated as Free Draws in accordance with Section 339 of the UK Gambling Act 2005.

3.2. These draws do not constitute gambling, lotteries, or betting under UK legislation.

3.3. To enter a competition, entrants can choose between two methods:

  • The Paid Entry Route: Selecting and paying for an available grid coordinate online via the website.
  • The Free Entry Route: Submitting a free entry via the postal service as outlined in Section 5.

3.4. The Promoter guarantees that both paid and free entries have an absolute equal chance of winning any main prize or associated instant win prizes.

4. Paid Entry Method (Grid & Coordinate Model)

4.1. Each competition is displayed on the website as an interactive 2D Battleship-style coordinate grid (e.g., rows labeled A–J and columns labeled 1–10).

4.2. To enter via the paid route, the user must log into their verified account, select one or more available (green/blue) grid coordinates, and complete the secure online payment process using our integrated payment gateway.

4.3. The price per grid coordinate ticket will be clearly stated on each individual competition page.

4.4. All ticket sales are final. Once a paid coordinate is confirmed and processed by the system, no refunds or cancellations will be issued under any circumstances.

5. Free Postal Entry Method

5.1. Free entries can be submitted by post. To enter any live competition for free, you must follow these instructions exactly:

  • Send a handwritten postcard via First or Second Class post to our official postal address: 8 Braemar Close, Frimley, Surrey, GU16 8UP.
  • The postcard must be clearly hand-written in English block capitals and must include:
    1. Full legal name
    2. Home address
    3. Email address
    4. Mobile contact number
    5. The exact name of the competition you wish to enter
    6. A statement confirming your agreement to these Terms and Conditions
  • Post each entry in its own separate envelope — one entry per envelope. Multiple entries in one envelope will not be counted.

5.2. Random Ticket Allocation: Upon receipt and validation of the postcard, the Promoter manually processes the entry and the system automatically allocates a random ticket number from the remaining unbought stock in that competition's pool. The entrant will immediately receive an automated confirmation email displaying their assigned ticket number, giving them identical win probability to a paid ticket.

5.3. Limits on Postal Entries: Postal entries are strictly limited to one free entry per postcard per person and one entry per envelope. Every entry must be posted in its own separate envelope — one entry per envelope. If multiple entries are received in a single envelope, none of those entries will be counted and the entire submission will be deemed invalid and destroyed. The same applies if a single postcard attempts to enter multiple draws.

5.4. All free postal entries must be received and manually processed before the countdown clock for that specific competition hits zero and before that competition's maximum ticket limit is reached. Any postal entries arriving after a draw has closed or sold out will not be entered.

6. Instant Win Prizes

6.1. Certain competitions feature an "Instant Win" mechanic. Prior to the launch of the game, specific grid coordinates are randomly selected by the system to hold pre-assigned instant win prizes (such as cash, tech, or site credit).

6.2. The exact locations of these instant win coordinates are heavily encrypted and completely hidden on the secure server.

6.3. If a customer (via a paid online checkout or a processed free postal entry) allocates a winning coordinate, they will receive an immediate pop-up notification on their account screen and a confirmation email detailing how to claim their instant prize.

6.4. The public product page will display a live grid tracker showing which instant win prizes have been claimed and which ones remain available.

7. Winner Selection (Main Draws)

7.1. If the hidden main prize coordinate is hit instantly via an online checkout or processed postal entry during the timeline of the game, that competition is won.

7.2. If the main prize coordinate is not uncovered by the time the competition countdown clock hits zero, the main draw winner will be determined using a verifiable Random Number Generator (or Random Coordinate Picker).

7.3. This draw will take place live on our official social media channels within 7 days of the competition closing. Only coordinates that have been successfully sold or allocated to a processed free entry will be placed into the random selector wheel.

7.4. The full name and town of all main draw and instant win winners will be published on our website and social media profiles to maintain complete operational transparency.

8. The Prizes and Cash Alternatives

8.1. The specification of the prize will be detailed on the individual competition page. Handover of physical prizes (like cars or tech) will be arranged within 14 days of a verified win.

8.2. The Promoter reserves the right to offer a Cash Alternative (usually set at a predetermined value or up to 70% of total ticket sales cash) if a draw fails to meet minimum ticket sales targets, or if a physical prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.

8.3. Once a winner accepts a cash alternative, the Promoter's obligation regarding the physical prize is completely dissolved.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

9.1. By creating an account, you agree to the Promoter processing your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

9.2. Winners agree to participate in reasonable post-draw publicity (such as providing a photograph holding their prize) to help the brand demonstrate legitimacy to the public and compliance monitors.
